For some background, I am a highly active 30 year old in the medical field who suffered an unlikely fracture to my pelvis after falling down a staircase while walking my dog.

“I have been going to Physical Therapy & Beyond on and off for over a year. I initially came to the office for scoliosis. In the middle of being treated for scoliosis, I fell and injured my shoulder. I immediately went to see an orthopedic surgeon to see what the problem was. The orthopedic doctor said it was a rotator cuff injury & possible tear. While waiting for my MRI Authorization, I filled my RX for PT services from the orthopedic doctor.

“Pelvic floor physical therapy for recovery from delivery of my first child is the best money I have spent on myself all year! I’m now a pelvic floor PT evangelist. I tell all my friends who are pregnant to talk to their doctor about this after they give birth.
If I hadn’t read about it in a book, I would never had known that, in the U.S., this is something you have to ask, for but that most OB’s/midwives will be happy to write you a script for. You don’t have to live with even mild incontinence or a small amount of pain during sex after having a baby! This is a myth and it can be helped or cured as mine was. I wish every woman knew this!!!”
